Unfortunately, we had to cancel our original Disney Side Party for various reasons and were unable to reschedule the full party during the specified dates. However, we still found plenty of ways to celebrate our Disney Side these last couple of weeks with our friends and neighbors!
I made this ribbon wreath a few weeks ago. I wanted one that showed our Disney Side but still went with the character of our home. I found the perfect black burlap ribbon printed with white polka dots and went from there!
We ended up canceling just a couple of days before the party, so my original set-up was almost complete. I finished the last remaining details to take a few photos. Our theme was going to be “Favorite Disney Characters.” Hannah and I had a great time finding ways to incorporate some of our favorite Disney characters into the food and activities. We then tied everything together with the “one that started it all…” Mickey reds, blacks and polka dots.
We wanted to make sure that everyone invited could enjoy the treats at the party. Everything was gluten and peanut free. Here is everything that we had planned to have:
- Captain Hook’s Pirate Booty
- Tiana’s Mardi Gras Beads (Sixlets)
- Pumbaa’s Grub (Gummi Worms)
- The Blue Wisp from Brave (Blue Cotton Candy)
- Mickey Marshmallow Peep Pops
- Cupcake in a Cup from Wall-E
- Olaf’s Carrot Noses
- Dumbo’s Circus Popcorn
- Maximus’ Apple Slices
- Radiator Springs Water Bottles
- Mike Wazowski Apple Juice
Since we didn’t have a party full of people to help us eat all of this food, we decided to make up goodie bags full of fun of Disney theme treats and other surprises and “ding-dong ditched” them. It was a great way to share our Disney Side with our friends as well as a fun way to brighten their day!
We had a small playdate with our neighbors. The girls dressed up as Disney Princesses complete with tiaras.
We also painted Sugar Rush Race Cars from Wreck-it Ralph. It was one of the activities that we had originally planned for the party. So much fun!
Even though our party didn’t go as we had originally planned, we still had so much fun celebrating our Disney Side. I am sure we will have many more Disney-theme celebrations to come especially in the coming weeks as we celebrate a couple of cute girls’ birthdays!
I received free products in order to host the
