We just got back from another wonderful Disney Vacation! It was just what we needed to slow down and reconnect with each other as a family. We spent four nights on the reimagined Disney Magic. It recently underwent some extensive remodeling and updates. Since this was primarily a working cruise, we didn’t get to see as much of the new additions as we had hoped, but we were very impressed with the changes that we did see.
With Chet and I working for almost full days on board, the kids spent a lot of time in the kids’ clubs. Neither one complained! Olivia loved playing in the “it’s a small world” Nursery, climbing up and down the slide. Hannah was in a different princess dress every time we went to pick her up from the Oceaneer Club. She loves making new friends on the ships!
We did take time off to play at Disney’s Castaway Cay. It is our favorite place! We love relaxing on the beach or in our cabana. Both girls enjoyed playing in the sand this time and splashing in the water.
It is always fun to see familiar faces when we return to the ships each time. We saw several Cast Members that we have met on previous cruises. Our concierge host, Tawanda, was our host last year. He is from Zimbabwe and we just love him! As soon as we saw him, he ran to us, exclaiming, “My family!” Not only does he go above and beyond to help us with what we need, he genuinely cares for us and has the best stories to tell. When Chet told him about his new worship minister position, Tawanda brightened up and excitedly said, “God is using you.” It is amazing to see God working in the lives of people from all across the world first hand!
On the last night of the cruise, we were invited to a special meet and greet along with the characters before the said goodbye. And though the next series of pictures aren’t the best quality, they definitely show the fun memories that we made that night. How often, does Stitch crawl across the room for a tickle fight?!
Looks like you had a wonderful time and made some very special memories! Thanks for sharing!
