A few weeks ago, we went on the Disney Fantasy and cruised down to the Eastern Caribbean. It was a wonderful, much-needed vacation and was extra special because my parents were able to travel with us! I love cruising becauseĀ it is so easy to disconnect from the world and truly relax. No Facebook, work, email, or phone.
We had never cruised the Eastern Caribbean itinerary before and I think it may be one of my favorites now. We went to St. Martin and St. Thomas and to Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. I didn’t take many pictures but here a few highlights from our trip:
We saw many of our favorite characters on board the ship.
Hannah had an appointment to get her hair and nails done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique that is on the ship. Once we got on, we found that they had Elsa dresses in stock so we upgraded our package to include the dress. It took only nine months to find one (that didn’t cost over $100 on eBay)!
Hannah conquered the Mickey Water Slide and the AquaDuck during our cruise. Hannah rode the AquaDuck many times with Grandad. I didn’t get any pictures of the AquaDuck since Chet talked me into going with him. Don’t tell him, but it was a lot of fun!
Pirate Night on the Disney Ships is always a lot of fun! Hannah was dressed as Zarina, the pirate fairy and Olivia loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates as you can see here!
St. Thomas has a cute little butterfly garden that is offered as an excursion. It is within easy walking distance of the port and doesn’t have a set time for you to be there.
We didn’t get to explore much in St. Maarten, but from what we did see, it was a very pretty island.
We always indulge in a private cabana on Disney’s Castaway Cay. It makes the day that much more relaxing and the beach a bit more accessible for our family.
Olivia just adores Jasmine from Disney’s Aladdin right now. We aren’t really sure why since she hasn’t seen the movie! But, we had to see her every time she was out during the cruise.
And we had to get a picture with the original Pluto, since ours had to stay at home!
Ohmygoodness!!!! You can tell Olivia loves Jasmine. Look at that face! Priceless!!!! Oh another note, do the girls already have all those dresses? Or do they have dress up stuff there? Impressive!
We own all of the dresses in the pictures, however, they do have a dress up station in the kids’ clubs. We have acquired quite the collection over the years from hand-me downs and our own purchases. We have the philosophy that there will come a day when they don’t want to wear them any more so we don’t discourage them from wear the dresses now.
