So most of the month of October and part of November was spent on the road. It was time for our annual Off to Neverland Travel company meeting so we headed to Walt Disney World and on the Disney Dream for a four night cruise. Here are just a few highlights from our trip.
This particular sailing was not only fun because we got to spend time with some family and many friends from our agency, but it also stopped TWO days at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. Two days relaxing on the beach was just what we needed!
Olivia thought it was so funny that the waves would “chase” her back up the beach.
After the cruise and company meetings were finished, we headed back to Walt Disney World for a week of vacation with Chet’s parents. The girls loved having their Nana and Papa there!
Hannah conquered a ride that has she has nervously avoided for a while, Expedition Everest! She picked out her souvenir to document the occasion.
The girls loved waking up to see which animals were outside our window at our hotel each morning. We saw giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, Ankoli cattle, and many others!
After Chet’s parents left, we stayed for a few more days in Walt Disney World before driving to Georgia for a speaking engagement. Since we were there for so long, we decided to do something we had never done before… play mini golf!
During our trip, we also watched as the Disney Parks transformed from a fall and Halloween theme to their Christmas decorations. Christmastime in Walt Disney World is my favorite time to visit! Though, we weren’t able to do all of the holiday offerings since it was still early, we were able to see and do a few things.
We were able to go to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on our last night. We love going to the parties at the Magic Kingdom. At the Christmas party, all of the characters are in the holiday gear, there is a Christmas themed parade, fireworks, and shows, and free hot chocolate and cookies all night.
We drove home via Georgia for Chet’s speaking engagement. Less than a week after we arrived home, we dropped the girls off with my parents and Chet and I boarded a plane to head back to Walt Disney World. It was time for the annual Disney Travel Agent conference and it was planned long after our plans were made. We had a great time but we are all so glad to be back home for awhile!
